Description

NOS Purolator Oil Filter Canister with P-40 Element.  These were 1940's-1950's aftermarket filters that were dealer installed on some Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles, and by independent shops for Chevy, Ford, and others.
This unit is in good shape for its vintage, with the decals and paint in fair to good shape.  There is some corrosion at the base of the unit and inside the housing, which should clean up easily.  Includes an unused NOS Purolator P-40 filter element, which cross-references to
the modern equivalent, Wix filter element PN 51201 (and gasket PN 15406).  Wix parts are not included in this sale, and PNs are provided for reference only.
See the photos for the condition of the unit and filter.  The original packaging is long gone.
It does not have a mounting bracket or oil line hoses, which are not included.
